To Catch A Fox

Chromatic

I remember, when I started my journey
To the realm of my soul where I finally opened the door
For fear of what was behind this door made me close my eyes, close my mind
To everything worthy of being truly admired
Ideating achromatic

I couldn't comprehend the beauty behind veiled sheets
Webs of lies plagued my eyes
Trapped by the impossible of self-acceptance

It was then that I discovered that the merit in oneself isn't raised by touch of a thumb
But by the love and compassion radiated from the skin
In an instant it unlatched and the colour filled my head
Dilated eyes let the light in
Perceiving the palette of artistry

Shades hidden, now the brightest whites, where only dwelled grey
Light breaks over the darkest of days

With friends by my side I see the beauty of life, a new dawn shining bright
With friends by my side I see the beauty of life, like the world through a child's eyes

Freedom from your own chains
Open the lock, break away

It was then that I discovered that the merit in oneself isn't raised by touch of a thumb
But by the love and compassion radiated from the skin
In an instant it unlatched and the colour filled my head
Dilated eyes let the light in
Perceiving the palette of artistry

Freedom from your own chains
Open the lock, break away
Free, freedom
